1st email from admin said to introduce myself, so hi! I'm Adam. Right now I manage a flooring store in Nashville, TN. Due to family circumstances, my wife and I are relocating to Winchester, VA, and I figured it was time for a change in careers. Going to get my CDL, and going to try and get on with a beer or coke distributor. Either that or drive a dump truck...because let's face it...who wouldn't want to drive a dump truck?? If anyone has any clue at all how a person goes about getting their first job driving a dump truck, I'd really appreciate the help!

Everyone told me that you have to work Otr for at least six months before any local company will take you.

Yeah, I've heard that, too. Then, when I say that I am not in a position to do otr, everyone says, well try local distributors or drive a dump truck...lots of conflicting information out there.....

All you can do is ask and apply. Have you called the waste management or what ever company out there. You you those drivers make good money and good benefits. Also try asking the temp services in that area. Vickers
