Here's all the wisdom I have so far (and it aint much!)--in terms of the trucking school you select, ask LOTS of questions. For instance, how many hours of actual driving time do you get for your money? What's the interest rate on your "student loan," if you're going that route? Oh yeah, get copies (and keep them) of your contract. Apparently, with the demand for drivers being high right now, lots of shady schools have popped up that charge thousands of dollars for tuition, and that do not deliver on what they promise to do. Mainly, they give you enough info to pass the test...maybe. Oh yeah--"what's the student-teacher ratio?" is another good one to ask.

They are two to twelve in class. First week is all classroom. Second week is outside in truck with backing up shifting. Pretrial these things and third week is out on the road driving. My friend says she knows this company and they are very good. Please let me know what else to keep my eyes open for. What are the things to ask to look for in companies itself??
