before you get involved with a contract with Verizon directly, look here for wireless Data solutions. I'm not affiliated with them but we storm chasers use their service due to no contract and pay-as-you-go monthly service and minimal start-up cost, and using Verizon network

This is the best plan out there that I've seen. We used it when hubby was OTR and I had service most everywhere. I used it while he was going down the road, and only now and then would I not have a signal. :biggrin_25525:

this is not contract it is new 4g pay as you go. I looked at the above system but we are never home to get it in the mail. So I am gonna get the Jetpack the website says it is 129.99 plus 50 bucks a month. Not bad for no contract.

Well so far so good with the Jetpack from Verizon. I have a 3G signal in No-where NE. I also had a good signal for most of the trip from Laramie WY over 80 and up 25 to WY 18/20 then into NE. Lost signal a few times but nothing bad. Also it is MUCH faster than that Virgin Mobile thing. So yes it works...but it is EXPENSIVE for 10g cost is 90.00 month.

I was on the windmill farm 20 miles outside of Broken Bow NE on the internet with a 3g signal. That about sums it up.

I thought the contract was a better deal...guess not. Yes it is the Mifi 4g LTE. I feel better about it being a prepay now
