For the new guys, don't be surprised if another flatbed driver from another company asks YOU for help. It happened to me tonight. He never drove a flatbed before & his boss had him on a load of cables. It was all good except for a loose chain. He was behond happy. And make sure that you keep plenty of recruiter cards with you.
And will there be anyone at the Madison yard this weekend? The coffee is on me.

I am now officially on vacation for the next week. -
No problem would be glad to. -
During orientation do they have you do an exercise where you lie on your stomach and place your hands behind your head with fingers locked and have you keep your head up off the ground for 2 minutes? Just wondering what the purpose of that would be if it's true.

I'M STILL LOOKING FOR THAT GUY!sewerman Thanks this. -

The week in review.
Sunday: Headed down to the receiver in Elmira Ny and spent the night there.
Monday: Got unloaded at around 0600 in the morning and then waited for my next load.
Got a load to pick up at Temple Inland in Mt Jewett Pa. 126 mile dh, 331 miles loaded to Sauder in Archbold Ohio.
Once I got loaded I had to make it to Sauder or I would not be able to start in time to deliver on time. So I made it there at around 10:30 with about 30 minutes left on my clock.
Tuesday: Got unloaded at 0800 and then got a load to pick up at US Steel Midwest.
161 miles dh and 774 miles loaded to go to Silgan can In Maxton NC. Drove until I had about 20 minutes left on my clock and stopped in West Virginia.
Wednesday: Made my way down to the receiver and had about 3 hrs left on my clock when I got there. While I was unloading I got a preplan to go to Georgia Pacific in Dudley NC. It showed that they had overnight parking so I was not concerned that I would run out of hours there. 117 dh miles 555 loaded miles to Sunbury ohio, 12 miles from my house.
Got there and they do not allow overnight parking any more. sent in a correction.
Got loaded and found a place to park out on the one road right next to the rail road track at about 2300. Left my running lights on all night and kept the apu off as to not run down the battery.
Thursday: Headed out and drove to the truck stop in Jackson Ohio. I was not sure I would find a spot to park if I went any further. Have 110 miles to go to finish the route.
Friday: Got to the receiver about 9:15 for my 10:00 appointment. Got unloaded on time. Sat for a couple of hours and I informed my fm that I would not mind going home mt since I was so close and then load out on Sunday or Monday.
She told me to head for the house and talk to her on Monday. So I did just that.
Three nights at home! Sweet!
Hope you all have a great weekend!sewerman and Flatbedder 1966 Thank this. -
Congratulations Maverick!
