ok, so i havent said much in here for awhile... done with driver training, and upgraded last week... ran my first load in a truck that was falling apart (it needed to be recovered.. the driver never took care of it, and then left) told sam the truck was bad, took it to the shop and was handed the keys to a 2011 international.... looooooove this truck so far (even if it 'numb'). About to take a load home for my days off... My thoughts on the academy/driver training are still positive, regardless of the small issues ive encountered. The "upgrade test" is a breeze if you can actually drive.... I have had no regrets so far about coming to FFE, and hopefully ill still be here by the end of my year.... I hope they get the Drivers licencing thing sorted out, and i wish all of you luck, stay safe... as for me... Im headed home!

I spoke to Tony at FFE recruiting today and he told me DPS gave another extension that would push the change back to mid September. Waiting for my background check to come back. If all goes well, I'll start training on 5/21

This company sucks, driving sucks, Alabama sucks, Georgia sucks, all you guys suck...lol
Just kidding!
This thread has really moved since I last posted. Hey Spat, Tigger, Sc boy...hope all you fellersare don good. I'm stol still part of the ProStar Team, lovin my Cummins/10-spd/3.55 gears combo, just wish FFE hadn't cut my power from the stock 435. I'm running with all these juiced up boys in Midwest and Canada and just can't keep up! I've put 19,847 miles on my truck in the last 2 months, an finally making great take home money, an have a great DM that keeps
me moving, and she hates when I have to go home
All you newbies, stick it out and earn your spot, good things come. Training ain't for me, I like my room in the truck and my dog, so I probably won't see any of you, but you'll get a place if you work hard at it. -
On the plus side I got my family friend to do a few pre trips with me while I had that extra week, even did a bit of maneuvering. He's rolling in a Peterbuilt- I'm shocked at how nimble the handling is on these trucks. -
Hello all,
New federal mandates on each state that receives federal transportation dollars dictate that these states require much more stringent measures to curb the possibility that Driver Licenses be issued to illegal aliens or other legally undesirables. Thus, the tightening by Texas and other states Driver Services Departments. It will be interesting to see how this all sorts out. Most states require original documentation to include birth certificates and at least one or more other forms of positive identification in order to just renew a DL. -

Mexican truck + mexican dog, maybe I should buy a sombrero instead of that cowboy hat I was looking at!
Just look for this truck...
