I have a CDL, but no experience. I start with refresher courses then training. I have read mixed reviews which is kind of expected. I would like to know some up to date info. Are refresher courses going to cost me money ( with exceptions for food )? Is it really going to be 4 weeks away one week home or each week you work is one day off? On the website it says starting pay is $35,000 first year is that the truth? How long is refresher/training. How long before they force you too lease a truck I would greatly appreciate some feed back. I don't know whether I should be excited or nervous
P.S.
Honestly who wants to be
Lied too before even officially
Being hired
New guy with central refrigerated. Nervous/excited? Advice guidance please

My suggestion would be find a local truck stop and ask a driver. Drivers are pretty honest about their experiences and advice.

I've been with Central for almost 2 years now, so im going from memory on the classes. I went in w/o a cdl so mine cost me for the "school" and getting my cdl but since I had prior military in the end it didn't cost me anything. I believe the school will end up costing you but they take $57 and change out every week for the first year. My first year I brought home around 27k. They have recently changed the pay scale so can't really say now what is possible. The home time is 1 day off for every week out unless you are o/o.
