Midway between the rear axles is valid for Tennessee. In orientation, we were taught to always measure to the center of the rear axle. I provided the link to the TN Motor Carrier Manual.xlsdraw, DrtyDiesel and Tazz Thank this.

Unfortunately it is not called the bridge law, this is a very common misconception. Its actually called the kingpin rule.
Kingpin rule has to do with the spacing between the kingpin and axles on the trailer.
While the bridge law has to do with weight on the axles themselves.
