Iam not an expert on any of that but I will say one of the first things I was told was to watch out for the "Fly by night" companies as they don't seem to last long out Here. But I would think you could pick up some heavily used equipment at a good price.

Do you need H2s and Osha to get a job in the oil fields or will they train you. What jobs can I do wothout those 2? or the Osha one. I had no idea I needed this until one company asked for it. None of the others I applied asked for this. thanks

I went through MBI's orientation and they gave us the OSHA 10 hour class and the H2S class with the monitor (a $ 300.00 value)
Also, you cannot work on most well sites without both certifications.

Got an interview in KillDeer on monday, anyone know anything about that area? Also how long of a drive is it to there from Tioga area? I know google maps says like 1.5 - 2 hours or so but that isnt always right, so just curious if anyone knows how long it really takes?

Killdeer is nearly 2 hours to Williston with how the traffic is now. Williston is 45 miles from Tioga. Probably closer to 3 hours from Killdeer to Tioga now.

If I was going to go to killdeer from Tioga I would run to stanley and head down hwy 8 to 23 west to 22 south. But I haven't been up there in 2 months so I don't kno if they are working on that way.
