I was just wondering with all the returning vets coming home and the job market being so bad. I guess CRE is making money off him so I hope he does well, but doesn't fall for all the other tricks.
I guess he is used to being gone and I hope he has fun, it maybe more dangerous than being in the army though with all the crazy drivers.
The guy hubby has is about 35 I guess, and is in the process of a divorce, but you'd never know it it sounds like, plus he has a girl friend and a potty mouth. Hubby got after him about some of the comments he was making, if nothing else he doesn't want to hear it all the time.
Homesickness though is what got his team driver, the guy watched a movie at Flying J I think, and came out and said he missed his wife. He was kinda laid back as it was and he got even worse after that. He got home about 3 weeks later, don't know if his wife was happy or not, he was a little bit of a slob and she said it was like a vacation when he left the one time I talked to her.

Since your trainer is on dedicated be ready to turn/burn. This means eating while driving and getting in/out of the fuel island in 10 minutes. If you can pickup a loaf of bread and PB & J this makes a good snack. Also buying the 2 for $3 gallon jugs of water at the J/Pilot will help keep costs down.

Husband likes to snack on the Shredded Wheat with the fruit in the middle, it helps the plumbing for him, so have a bathroom on the plan in case it is needed. He doesn't like a lot of sugary sweets, we used to split a candy bar. He also mixes Lipton Green Tea with cranberry/grape juice, he can't just drink straight water.
His favorite sandwhich is PB&J with a slice of Oscar Mayer Ham & Cheese and a slice of cheese if on hand.
Hope your trainer has a microwave and refrig. It makes life a lot easier.
We had a George Foreman but he put screws on it to make it more level so it wasn't so messy. Made a lot of good stuff on that.
Subway's with the meat and all the added veggies is pretty good too, I hear they don't have the $5 special anymore.
I know when hubby first started with his trainer several years ago, you better be able to buy something at the counter on the fly, the guy did not worry about stopping and letting you eat.
With the runs he has now he doesn't have a lot of time to waste eating at the fuelstop either, so it is eat on the run. He just stopped at Walmart so they could stock up on a few essentials. Yogurt, bread, small cans of vegetables, canned tuna and chicken, lunchmeat, etc.scottied67 Thanks this. -
The problems students give me is the know-it-all-ism attitude. They are trying to tell me how to shift while they are clashing/grinding the gears but since they read somewhere on proper shifting they are an expert on it. About two students ago my student was going through the scale house in Nebraska and I tell him make sure you pull your steers up to that red cone and stop, ignore the light when it turns red just stop at the cone. Well he sees the light turn red when he is halfway on the scale and stops and sets his brakes. I ask him what he is doing and he says this is the way I think you do it.
Well the scale house operator gets on the pa and tells him to pull forward and put his steers next to the red cone. My student gets nervous and stalls out the truck since he tries to take off with the brakes set. He also is pounding on the service brake so my air gets below 60 psi. Once I get him calmed down and finally up to the cone we get pulled in for a paperwork check.
I told my student he either listens to me or I am dumping him off in SLC.

Well I guess it goes on all the time and at least he is not the only one, how yu all put up with it I don't know.

ONe sure thing that the address is not locatable is the customer directions are missing, or at least on the computer view of the load. Then the artillery has to come out to locate the place, so much fun. And don't forget the streets or cities which are mis-spelled. -

I know that one of his Phase 2 students was waiting for a friend of her boyfriend to get in a new log truck and she was going to drive it; the other student was going to go with a local company I guess. Then he had one quit midstream that was doing good, but the guys mom was dying and he made it home just before she did by bus. There was one or 2 others, the one really bad one was the one he took back to SLC after he ran a redlight and didn't get any better after that.
I guess you can say he needed a job because ours ended where we were, but I didn't think we would be going broke over CRE from week to week, you keep wanting to give it a chance and try all avenues so I guess this Phase 1 is the last shot if he doesn't get himself killed. And it is ok if a person didn't know how to drive, but they need to learn to listen I guess too first and not have the attitudes that they are going to grannies house and have all the time in the world to get there.scottied67 Thanks this.
