We had one of the Black and Decker coffee makers which made one cup of coffee at a time, and did not have to have paper filters. Made the coffee in the original cup and poured it over into a large refillable Pilot cup so that the flavored coffee creamer could be added.
It maybe just as easy to use a small regular coffee pot with the filters.
And for those lazy days a good instant works well too.![]()

A couple of drops of dish soap, a paper towel and water works wonders.
Get a French press, and throw the industrial strength coffee maker in the dumpster where it belongs.Rattlebunny Thanks this. -
For 99 bucks (yes it's a lot of money) you could get a Tassimo T10.
You'd need an invertor.
a cut and paste from a website.
" The TASSIMO Home Brewing System by Bosch makes one perfect cup at a time with the ease of T DISC technology. T DISCs are filled with fresh coffee or espresso grounds, tea leaves or milk creamer (which the system froths for the perfect cappuccino or latte). Slip in your favorite T DISC and in just about a minute, your brewer makes coffee (iced or hot), tea, cappuccino, latte, crema, mocha, espresso or hot chocolate just to your liking."
I've tried them and they are not bad.
Kind of like the Starbucks experience.I-80Trucker Thanks this. -

I have a 2000 watt inverter professionally installed in any truck I drive. Installation will include #2 or #3 welding cables and a 200amp in line breaker on the Positive cable. You can buy a microwave at WM for $50. If the prospective employer won't allow me to do that and don't provide an ample AC power source, I look elsewhere. Can't tell you when the last time was that I ate at a greasy truckstop or fast food joint. I even steam my own vegetables. I also make my own pot of coffee in the mornings.
You do the math.I-80Trucker Thanks this. -
Rattlebunny...
THANK YOU! That is brilliant. I'll probably still keep a washing tub around as a backup, but you went in a wholly different direction in problem solving.
I'm with ironpony on the french press. I keep a travel mug/french press just for when I'm on my own. If I'm traveling with my wife, I rarely have to make coffee before she's up and telling me what she wants.
One other thing... I am sorry. I forgot that, to some folks, the phrase "washing up" can also refer to bathing yourself. That was a communication failure on my part.Rattlebunny Thanks this. -
200 AMP !! ! ! holly Molly !!! what do you run with all that power ?? will it drain the trucks battery's ?

I can see how a French press would be wonderful! But, since I will be just starting out and in a trainer's truck, I think I'll treat myself when I get my own truck!I-80Trucker Thanks this.

It dose look like a nice Unit , although the price for each coffee is kinda high i think ,, in the add it said 9.95 for 14 cups ? Hmm i can drink half that on a good day so it would add up very fast ,,
12.00 is about what i pay for a 2 pound can of Coffee now and i get i don't know how many cups of Coffee from it but its way way over 14 cups LOL ,,,

I don't know. That comes to about $.71 a cup. I pay way more than that for my beloved Starbucks. Guess I'm an addict. Or conneseur... or both...
FYI: I'm not big on the latte foamy skinny sissy coffee drinks. I like it plain, black without sugar...I guess taste is in the, ah, buds of the beholder...I-80Trucker Thanks this.
