well, got the new exhaust tubes on the boat (replaced all 4) also i found my (1.5yr old) exhaust bellow dry rotted so i replaced that as well, what a PIA that was! then we go to start it to make sure they're are not any leaks.....and it wont start.....my 7 month old starter selenoid is fried! used the boat ONCE since i had the selenoid so i have to find one tomorrow morning (easy every parts store in town should have a bunch of them)
Then i went on a great datei think i done found a special one
Missed the All Star Race though lol but we did drive by the track twice during the race haha

Spent all day and a some money working on the stupid boat today, i changed the New Starter Selenoid with anyther new one and.........it STILL wouldnt start, which means its the battery $120 that i just put in 2 weeks ago has 1 or more dead cells WTF this is the second battery i've bought that ended up having a cell die soon after buying it.
Anyway while working on the selenoid i noticed the alternator belt was way lose, so i grab and and the ########## alternator moves! Apon further inspection i find that the alternator bracket broke in half 1/4" thick STEEL just "broke" couldnt find one anywhere so i said F### it and i welded the POS back together! I also need a new alternator mines NASTY been under water too many times lol so i'll hit that later since it still works.
So i put the new battery in and........again is still doesnt start!
I tapped the starter a few times and instead of just the seneloid clicking the starter clicked once...hmmmm beat on the bendix a couple of times and walla the boat started! i have a flat spot on the bendix so thats the next thing on the list to do, since my dads bored not working he told me to leave it there and he's going to start on my list of things i need to fix its quite long so that will be cool.
Also spent a few hours putting in the Float switch for the bildge pump, what a nightmare, i hate when old guys are stubern! lol my dads only 47 but still he insisted i was wireing it wrong so he did it and whenever the float moved it would blow the fuse! Then we did it MY way and it worked like it should, took us 3 hours and 4 fues to figure out i was right.
Im thinking well make it look real nice fix a bunch on cheap simple sheet and sell it, then buy a new one with a warrentee so i dont have to deal with it anymore haha
