Compared to what came before it it was like velvet
Sort of miss torsion bars..at least you could feel what the chassis was doing and load it for the bumps.

No thank you. I drove a Volvo 670 for about 7 months. I hated that POS! I 10 across west Texas, NM and AZ with a 30 mph wind out of the south was like driving a 70 foot sailboat. NEVER again!

i never had an air starter but i had a big old cat engine in a boat with a gas pony engine to crank it over

One stack mack with no shack on the back.....

I learned to drive on a 1970 cab-over KW,with torsion bar suspension,no power steering, V-8 Cummins, 13 speed. I kinda liked the torsion bar ride, could adjust it different ways.To me when you went into a curve, it felt better than an air ride system.I have not seen one in years. -
4x4 Airshift hooked to a 350 Yamaha in a doublewide KW COE....... yessir, high cotton indeed....
FoolsErrand Thanks this. -
I have a lot of respect for commercial fisherman. Now that's hard work, and I doubt I could do it, even when I was a youngster. I've always loved ships/boats and my Maternal Great Grandfather was a shipwright in Ireland @ Harland and Wolff back in the 1910's It was a dream of mine when I was a kid to join the merchant marine. Never happened because I fell in love with trucks.
