After months of research, heartache, personally induced stress, laughs at posters (mostly ORD), and buttloads of usefull information from guys like IP and U2... I've decided to make my first post and open myself up to the endless encouragement and/or criticism of the Prime forum!:biggrin_25523:

Let me start with foolishly giving you all some personal ammo about myself. :biggrin_255:

At 24 years young I have a well rounded past work history. I raced cars for 12 years, and have worked many jobs from being a snowboard instructor, to a service manager at large car dealerships, to construction and flying. I currently drive rollbacks for a large local towing company.

I have always had a love for driving, initially satisfied by the racing:biggrin_255: I had my cdl permit several years ago and got some experience hauling heavy equipment with rgr's and some flatbed as well. I also have a large amount of experience driving CDL B trucks with my local Fire Dept where I am a driver/fireman.

After much heated debate in my own head (it sucks arguing with yourself:biggrin_2556: ) I decided to apply to Prime. I've already made it through the initial approval process and will be heading to SPRIMO in the upcoming weeks. I do already have my permit as I do some combination driving with my current company.

Currently set to start in SPRIMO on the 29th of this month but I'm going to have to push that back of couple weeks to get things in order.

I was originally attracted to the flatbed side as that's where my experience is, but after speaking to my recruiter and reading posts from BigCheese and others I believe I will be coming to the reefer side and running the Northeast Regional route. I live just a couple miles from I81 so the chance of additional home time makes me more at ease to this life changing commitment.

I'm not going to ask for pointers and the usual questions for newbies as I'm sure IP ORD U2 and others are sick of repeating themselves and the search function works wonders!:biggrin_2559:

I am truly looking forward to starting this experience and becoming part of Prime with you characters:biggrin_25526:

My only hope is I hope my trainers trucks are kept clean, because if not they are going to HATE working with me:biggrin_2559: I am anal about keeping my office clean. Right now my rollback is my office and it get cleaned multiple times a day:biggrin_255:

So with this unnecessarily long and ridiculous post, I open myself up to the abuse of the masses to which you will no doubt get smart ### replies!:biggrin_2559:

Keep em rollin shiny side up!

All depends on if your focus is stroking your ego, or collecting dead presidents. We run slow because padding oil company profits isn't part of our plan.

Everyone needs a good ego stroke now and then, but the 80,000 lb. Fuel guzzler isn't the place to do it. Theres a reason strip clubs were invented! Even Egore feels like a king in one of those!

    Into cheap thrills, eh?

My 80,000lb fuel guzzler is on a diet - you get used to those extra dead presidents every week. How does a 10 cpm raise sound to ya???

You could afford a bunch of extra lap dances every week at that rate! :biggrin_25525:

Wait a minute... you started racing cars at age 12? What were you legally driving? Soap box derbys?
Please. Exageration is not necessary here.
