and HuskerFan, the truck you see sitting at the hotel is mines, i'm pulling out here in another couple hours here for an all-nighter across 80.. Get to see how she rides after all the work!! And yes, i finally got my ##### back!!!! pardon my foul language -

So far so good, finally getting used to and liking the 13 speed, once i got the sleeper and fridge cleaned up and the a/c fixed i was all set. The only gripe i have so far is i have no idea how much the gross $$ is on the loads when i get the info across the qualcomm, and when i call in to ask i never really get a straight answer.

South Plainfield, NJ for Friday Afternoon... anybody got any helpful tips on Halls in South Plainfield?
I'm sorry Spyder now i get where your coming from, i thought you was talking about the gross weight on the load but for the most part and think everyone would probably agree we don't really worry about that until the check comes. We usually know what pays good/decent and what pays like crap. Once you get your first check you'll start to realize what pays well going where and what doesn't... and to let you know now, Broker loads coming West don't pay much!!! You'll make your gravy on loads going back East or loads going to the NW...Last edited: May 23, 2012

I tell you once you taste a 13spd you never want to go back to a 10spd or even 9spd for that matter....
-
True, that thing shifts smooth as butter now that ive gotten the hang of it.

Hawk, glad to hear you got your truck back, hopefully nothing falls apart LOL. Halls in South Plainfield is off of I287 South can't remember the exit but you go thru some neighborhoods and it's typical Jersey, tight. I'm currently sitting in Wisconsin doing a 10, got held up at the shipper in SD. Be safe all.
Happy Trails
