Tim told me they will send a truck to pick me up...so that was answered...the only thing I am slightly nervous about is the 13 spd...only have had 10s...hoping it shouldn't be too hard to pickup....

I got told to call back when someone is in the office, got a check and cashed it. Then they started unloading.......sslllooowwwlllyyyyy, and wound up with 2 cases rejected because of the date on the boxes, and then the "very helpful" receiving personell decided to drive me nuts...fortunately the final drop went without a problem. Im waiting on a relay going to nyooo joisee(nj) for the morning to fatten my paycheck a bit, then gettin home.

Mic, that's how i got a ride into sheldon, way quicker than greyhound, and don't sweat the 13 speed, before i came here, the closest thing id drove was a super 10, and at millis the road test truck had a 13, but they only allowed students and new recruits to shift it like a 9 speed. I got used to this one and i like it. Btw, welcome aboard.
Mic Thanks this. -
Saigena remember when you said your Truck had a coolant leak?? it wouldn't to happen to be when you shut the truck off for a long period of time and restart it the low coolant sensor comes on and stays on for about 3 or 4 mins and then shuts off is it?? because that's what my truck is up to now and that's what 764 was doing also. Actually this is the 3rd truck that has done this, and all 3 did the same thing

Yeah, hawk, that's the deal. Actually, my coolant leak was a little more extensive. It was actually losing coolant throughout the day until they fixed it...but the phantom overnight leak is a cummins thing. I've had 5 cummins now, and all of them did it. When it goes away after 3-5 mins like that, it's usually just burning a little coolant and getting slowly low. Then, when it sits, then system "settles" a little bit, so that when you start it up cold, it takes some time for the system to recover enough fluid into the reservoir to satisfy the sensor.
There's a big junction of hoses right by the passenger side hood seating post that's the biggest culprit. According to Corey in the Sheldon shop, the leak is there (and other places) because the cummins design runs hot fluid (because of the egr design) through cold hoses right from start-up. It's pretty much a given that at some point, a big red will start to bleed coolant, and it's really just a running battle to keep it from getting problematic, it never really goes away or gets fixed.
As long as you're not getting check engine lights and/or performance issues and/or overheating issues, just watch it and add when necessary, 'cause it's all a part of runnins da cummins.hawkjr Thanks this. -
Hey all. Got out of sheldon/orientation today. Dale is my dispatcher. Seems like a great guy. They hooked me up with a 2 drop load in WA state for Tuesday morning (lol).

Just a question about the refrigerators in the kw's, i had mine cooled down, then put a couple of the "lunchables" packs in there, i went to open one of them, and the turkey slices had a real rancid smell, when i put the pulp thermometer in there, it read between 50-60 degrees on back of the top shelf near where frost had formed on the back wall, and 25 degrees in the freezer, im wondering if maybe i should have cory route me to sheldon for a new fridge if possble? The measurements i got were with the ccab& sleeper cooled down.

With frost on the back wall...
Next 10 hr break, turn it off and open the door, then put some paper towels down inside on the floor. Let all that crap melt and then try it again (preferably by putting something in there that doesn't make you cry if it spoils). Then, if it's still bad, yeah, try to see if you can get it fixed/replaced.
With the frost back there, though, it seems like it might just need a defrosting. The ice can block the cool air from escaping the freezer compartment where all the cool air is pumped in. -
I might try that, wound up gettting another 10 hrs break on this load, since the wonderful people(not)here at wakefern decided they didnt need the stuff till tomorrow, and told me they had no lumpers, and even after i flashed the forklift driver card, told me the warehouse was full...
