Once again some BFI is ripping drivers off.

Did you keep any copies of any of the BOLs or other paper work?

NOW to you two and others reading this story of some BFI ripping you off in pay. Or actually any driving job out there.

GET A LAPTOP COMPUTER! GET A SCANNER and every piece of paper that crosses your fingers make a copy of it! This goes for ALL OF YOU! Company, O/O and L/P! DO NOT take the bus ticket until you have that computer! If you can't afford one then stop buying toys and save for one but have a fist full of quarters for copies at the truck stops or Kinko's or get the shipper and receiver to make them for you. If you can get an app for the cell phone to scan documents then get the thing but KEEP COPIES of every piece of paper that had any money attached to it OR can be used in your taxes to claim on if they do not pay you for it as it IS deductible! It's their truck and YOU paid the repairs and they did NOT reimburse you! YOU get the deduction! They get IRS attention in a bad way when these start to show up! Hey, they screwed you you get to get them in a worse way! The IRS is NOT a fun group to be audited by!

IF IT HAS MONEY ATTACHED MAKE A COPY! NEVER give all the paper work to them unless you have a copy AND a backup on a flash drive to an email account they do not know about if you can't trust their intentions, morals and ethics!

Ok, that's done but for you guys that have been pretty much bent by these scum and you have no proof of what they owe you then why don't you all get together?

IF they ARE European Mafia types and the stories I hear about them are true (I dealt with a few in NYC so I do know they are) You have 5 options.

1-GET OUT OF THE TRUCK! Park it in the biggest high crime area you know of with the doors open keys in the ignition then pack your stuff and go! IF offered money for the truck that's up to you! Sit and watch it and when it leaves give it 1 hour and then call the cops! THEN the company but if it's loaded all the company!

2-OR it could suffer some catastrophic damage which if you are already getting bent for repairs of their junk whats the worry! So what if the transmission falls off or the engine runs out of oil due to a bad sending unit and loose plug?

3- UPS your stuff home if you can or hopefully you only have enough stuff in the truck that you can carry on a bus or aircraft without paying the extra baggage charges. Drive it back to the yard without telling them, park it and just walk away as you know you aren't getting paid so the OOR fuel cost means nothing to you and they are out that money for being stupid by not paying their workers!

4- OR keep the last 2 BOLs and when you park the truck you can try to hold them BUT they can call the receiver and get one faxed back so that's not a good option!

5-NOW! Another way is all of you drivers get together and at the same time get sick! So sick the truck won't start. So sick that you drive miles out of route trying to remember where you are. So sick that you have to stop for a few days or just so sick of their bull that you park, don't tell them where it is BUT pay $20 to a truck stop or parking lot, get a receipt and hoof it home and try again BUT STAY AWAY FROM CHICAGO COMPANIES! ESPECIALLY if the office is from a country that you know has a firm belief in the old ways of communism. You work and we might pay you this year! ESPECIALLY if you read about them in here or other forums. Criminals soon realize that to keep making money they need reliable people to do their work! BUT remember they are of the old school of criminals and look you up or hunting them down for some little slight like wanting your pay they will and it can hurt!

Tell them to bring their POS truck and you back and you'll head on to greener pastures OR you can do to them what they have done to you with one of the above and ask them which one is best? Bring their junk home and get you home OR they can look for their junk on their own time at greater cost. Criminals are dumb but not that stupid.

A few tips. When you go ANY WHERE for an interview drive your own vehicle OR have enough money for a return ticket.
NEVER drive for anyone more than 300 miles away from your home (unless you get those 8 hour driving times added to your home time!) if you have one, OR a distance you can drive to go home IF they do not allow you to take the truck home in less time than you get to drive legally in he truck.

IF you pull into a yard where the cars in front look better than the trucks in back, LEAVE!
The same reason why you walk through the yard BEFORE you walk in the front door to look at the things you will be driving and pulling if they look like POS or like they were last repaired during the last HOS rules change (8/10 rule) LEAVE! That reason is you now know that they care less about maintenance or you but they darn sure care about themselves! IF it looks better in the office and front parking lot...LEAVE!

If the yard looks like it should be a junk yard then that is a good idea that things are NOT going to go well with you! The USA is NOT a 3rd world country but if the owners yard looks like that's where they bought their fleet then that's a good indication you'll be treated as someone from that area!

 

They are constantly posting on Craigslist.org for La Salle area Bloomington Area mainly all of Illinois area. I called them prob few months ago and accent was a no brainer there he still calls me from time to time leaving voice mails.

 

First of all, I work for this company as well, and may I say that the company is doing a really great job with all their workers- truckers. I drive for over 4 years and this company satisfies me to the fullest. The only thing they require is to fax the invoices on time and drive good, not taking vacations or days off like most of the drivers do. Comparing this company to others I can only say good if not great things about it, the checks are on time, great communication with dispatchers and trucks are in great condition, not like elsewhere. Go D&R Logistics!!!

 

yep and by the way your grammar is and the misspelling, and the area of Illinois you're from its a safe assumption that you are probally from the same region of the world they are from.

 

Not just the same REGION , poster is likely THEM ( D&R ) . Signs up and very 1st post is to defend a questionable outfit !

Few months ago on another thread same thing , guy ( troll ) started off in excellent english after Third Postening it sounded like BORIS and by 5th he was totally non understandable.
