They are right. The higher temps do help the engine. At low idle fuel can seep past the rings and contaminate the oil a lot more than the high idle.

Believe it or not I give those over the phone maintenance people crap every time I call in. They give me crap back so it's fair game. They are always cool about things, though they have pissed me off on some things. Plus they know how bad gary sucks.

What's with all the Auto-Starting? I run my AC, usually have my inverter charging my Laptop, and have my cooler plugged in non-stop and I never turn on my Auto-Start. Still have juice in the morning after a 10 hr break.

    Just curious....

I turn it on incase it runs down. Usually the batteries last all night and the truck will start in the morning after about 9-12 hours depending on what i was doing. It'll start up after about 8 hours if i run my TV all night.

I know the internationals have auto start, some but not all. Also, the frieghtliners don't have an auto start feature, at least not the ones that roehl bought.

The only thing I took from this is the following.

Pete, or KW. 13spd, 68 mph truck.

What company / which line do I sign on?

As much as it sucks on raw power, I love my 07 Columbia. With all the time I spend sitting still in the reefer fleet I have a feeling I'd chew through those battery packs in no time and not have enough drive time to charge them before shut down. Are the Prostars really so quiet you can sleep through the auto-start?
