if you check my quoting of his, my quoting of his was COMPLETE at the time he posted it. now he "added" an update to that..
(HE NEVER MENTIONED the illegal use of prescribed drugs, so he is therefore, a liar)
sorry, but i cannot believe him now, he's back-tracking and trying to cover up.

I have not been with any company. All i was saying was that Schneider does a hair test and 4 months ago i ate some painpills unprescribed and did not want to risk it raising a red flag. Kinda hard to dig a grave when your 6ftsearching above it. Home of the free my tail i bet you love big brother and reading comprehension.
-
No worries, didn't realize he'd edited it.
As for reading comprehension...the OP was worried about a hair test. Proves he KNOWS he did something wrong and stupid. Now he says it was unprescribed pain pills. Um.......how's it go? If you gotta ask....Gizmo_Man Thanks this. -
Listen here my op asked for places that would hire new drivers with a trucking school credintals rather than there program. It just so happens schneider was mentioned there one of threethat hair tests.
Nothing in my original post was edited. I have nothing to hide. But hair testing is rather excessive when it goes back so far. A month or twoup is fine but 6 months?
Ill just go with one that doesn't hair follicle analyze. Majority of you act like im hopeless dopehead i have a job secured just looking for some info on some companies outside of the ones who visted my school.
Atleast im not like guy in post above me who failed a hair test for roehl. I could justify testing postive for opiates seeing how my passport is stamped for canada around 4 months agoago and you can buy otc opiates there but thats. Trashy and may not flyLast edited: May 31, 2012

A few of the mega-carriers do hair follicle testing. Thing is its really not kosher to ask a recruiter that question, kinda throws a red flag up from the get go.
Staying out for long periods of time is not going to be a problem with any carrier. Arranging home time for a driver is a big pain the butt for dispatchers so you will definitely be loved for that. Hell you can live in the truck and have no home if you want. Its good to take a break and get out of the truck though after a few months straight of being in a truck. You can just get a hotel room or take a small mini-vacation wherever you want in the entire country! Take a few days, rent a car, do some sight seeing, etc... Reset your clock every once and awhile! You can get burned out going non-stop out there.
Good luck man....

Is going back three years for an accident excessive? How about three years for a ticket? Seven years for a felony? Ten years before a DUI?
You know what the difference between you and someone with a misdemeanor drug possession conviction? They got caught. That's it, they got caught. Being caught and convicted is ground for disqualification from many companies. You were lucky not to be and think that makes it just a minor infraction. Nobody is acting like you are a hopeless dopehead, we are acting like your judgement is rather suspect.
I had some indiscretions in my mispent youth, I think most of us have, but we eventually outgrow them. I am not sure four months constitutes putting it all behind you. I for one would prefer that every company did hair follicle testing to keep at risk people off the road. That is a dangerous piece of equipment you will be driving and you need to be clean and sober to protect not only yourself, but other truckers and the motoring public in general.DragonTamerBrat and Gizmo_Man Thank this. -
Yes , it IS home of the free. If you aren't happy here you are free to pack up and go to a country more to your liking.DragonTamerBrat and Gizmo_Man Thank this.

you "re-edited" posting number 5, in which when i quoted you, you did NOT mention the illegal drug usage. you went back, edited that posting (number 5).
this makes you a liar at the very least regarding your past drug usage and looking for a way out of additional drug testing.
again, good luck to you, but you will soon be caught. because you will always be "back-tracking" in anything you do.DragonTamerBrat Thanks this. -
Doesn't matter if it was once or every day, you have admitted to taking a drug without a prescription and that is illegal drug use. We don't look kindly on that kind of thing around here.
Gizmo_Man and DragonTamerBrat Thank this. -
Why would you pick Werner if you have your tanker and doubles? Read some of the threads about them. You can probably do better, and it might be worth waiting for 2 weeks for you to get another pre-hire. I'd go with Swift before Werner, honestly. And I'd go with Schneider before either of them. And a hair follicle test will test your hair. Shave your head. Nothing to worry about.
But you'd better cut out your drug habits. You won't last very long in this business, and it sucks having to get all your stuff onto a Greyhound bus for a week-long ride home after you've been fired.
