anyone running SS recaps? Buddy of mine dumped off 4 almost worn out michellins and was debating whether to save a little or shell out $3400.??

I have them first set though. 35k on them still look good. But honestly the idea of losing a cap terrifies me. I'll be using virgins from now on. Toss a cap and lose one of these rims one time and it would wipe out the savings on the caps plus some.
donkeyshow72 Thanks this. -
Seen some blow outs from some. I wouldn't run them on my truck. I have virgins on mine and I still don't like em!

-
Where did you see them online for that price because that's way cheaper than I have been told

Depends if your able to buy them through a National discount or not... I just purchased 4 Mich XDNA for $3800 installed out the door.
In regards to caps.... It would depend on the age of the casing and what position your wanting to use them.
I would stay away from any case older then 3 or 4 yrs old (date on the side of the tire) and I would only use them as trailer tires since the tires would be free rolling and not under torque. -
RECAP supersingles are fine on a trailer, not. Suitable for a tractor though!
