cooking in the truck

What do all of u do about washing ur dishes and cleaning up ur George foreman grills ect. Ect.

 

This morning, I just used a couple of paper towels to wipe the grill down. For things like the crock pot, I'll probably bring the dirty stuff into the shower and wash it out while I'm in there. For now, I'm using disposable plates and utensils.

 

To each his/her own. Good luck parking your rig at an Olive Garden or Outback or Applebees or.... McDonalds...lol

windsmith , they have a truck fridge made to fit any truck, they run about 495, 12v compressor type

 

i got a 39qt that can be used as either as a fridge or freezer for about $450. shipping included from compactappliance.com.i put 1 of each on my upper bunk along with my micro-wave and toaster oven.i kept a ratchet strap stretched across the top to keep everything secured.i kept the 1 i used as a freezer set at 4 degrees,the fridge at 35.they can run on a 12 volt plug or an ac plug.just my 2 cents worth.they are compressor driven.

 

You do not need to start a fire to cook in truck. An easy start would be a 12v oven. We rarely eat at truck stops anymore. We have a salad eveyday. The main focus needs to be on meal planning so to get the stocked. Our company truck is especially bastardized. We have taken out the top bunk and build shelves, using existing mount points. On them we have the largest truck frig, microwave, and 12vthe chest freezer.

 

There are restaurants that have truck parking.

 

One problem is, if your company won't let you idle, the truck won't run the fridge for very long. At least was my experience. I ran a Volvo with one already in it.

 

get the crock pot cooking bags for the crock. They work good....makes clean up EASY!!

 

Walcott has a book a trucker wrote about what is off the exit ramps and he has LOTS of restaurant parking listed in the book. That book is well worth the money spent for it.
