First off thnx for taking the time to read my thread...

Im a owner operator with two trucks (2000 frtliner & 98 International). Currently leased on to OTR company running steady miles @ $1.42 cpm . I need your help with some advice on where to go from here given many circumstances. I have been a decently sucessful owner op rebuilding these trucks putting lots of money in the drivetrain, making these trucks as reliable as possible. I want to get out of the business somewhat and move on to the oilfield business, as I first intended to after leaving the Marine Corps. If i had it my way i would take these trucks and put them on to a company where i can maximize my earnings for a good year and work my butt off while learning the oil field business. Not knowing much about that side of the house, i figured there has to be a good paying company out there with a downside being alot of off highway and basically means beating up your truck, which im more than willing to do. I live in california and want to make a move anywhere in the country (northern texas as a pref). Apparently my trucks will be obsolete and no longer allowed in california by 2014. I would rather run them till they blow than to sell them off for scrap. Im still single, operate as a team with my brother while my other truck runs as a solo. My bro and I have near immaculate MVR, and need to put the Over the road behind us. I plan on taking a week off to establish some leads and job searching in Midland, TX area soon, any thoughts on other areas would be sweet. im hoping i can receive some feedback, opinions, suggestions or anything you can throw at me.. Once again thnx for your time and Drive Safe.

I might start in north dakota. Williston, Minot areas. NDJOBS.COM and i think ndoilfieldjobs.com or something like that. goole it. South Texas is also a good spot right now.
I love the people of north dakota they are as much like Texans as ive ever met.

By North Texas do you mean Amarillo or Dallas? Both are refered to the same way at times? There is oil field work in East Texas but is can be more hit or miss. If East Texas is something you get ready for though send me a pm I've lived here for about 25 years, I have more than one friend I can give you the number of. Most of them are #### sure straight shooters and will give yoy the low down I bet.

I hauled frac sand for a brief time and might have some insightnthere if you need it, i hauled in east Texas

Thnx for the response texan.... i will def take u up on that when i head east.. i havent got a chance to checkout that website but i will as soon as i can get some good internet. I heard about north dakota boomin... mainly while surfing on craigslist, but it seemed their ads were so nice they could have been spam so i didnt enter their website at the time. Id have no issues going up that way. By north texas , yeah, i meant west of dallas, midland odessaq area .. but only say there because i pass thru quite a bit and could have one of my trucks swing by drop me off and pick me back up some other day. ... ....so what work do u do now?? That looks like a nice rig. Well bud i will stop running my mouth now and send this reply of before i loose coverage.thnx again
