Road Check 2012 is on! Where are they?

greensboro to grand rapids to chicago back down 65 into indiana by this afternoon so far this week and #### quiet......only thing going on so far has been the service plaza on 77N in WV yesterday and they were pretty much rolling everyone through.....alot of personnel on hand but most of them just sitting around in their cars doing nothing......maybe 4 or 5 pulled in but that's it

about half the scales i've been by have been closed but the rest of them i've gotten red-lighted on prepass even empty and rolled through but so far a non-event for me

running overnight tonight and hopefully shut down before the festivities get underway full swing tomorrow

Just another day at banning nothing special

 

The only time something special whould happen at banning is if would close

 

I25 in Monument, CO.. mostly the southbound scale, pulling in one truck at a time. Straight trucks and open decks seem to be what they take the most interest in. Bear sits just south of the scale, presumably looking for anyone who bypassed the scale and came back in on CO-105.

 

The one major downside is that rest areas,truck stops,and scale houses that allow overnight parking are jammed
to the max and have been earlier than usual....
I stopped earlier than usual because of this

 

I20 eb and wb on the Ga border lots of trucks being inspected

 

I70 west just west of Kansas City in the truck staging area. They are still pulling in all trucks tonight.

Nothing going on at my house. I just looked out my patio doors and saw the usual, pool and lake. Fourth year in a row I'm at the house reading about it.
