I have Sprint with unlimited data, but the least amount of minutes. Do you have an Android phone? If so, get Google Voice. Then call Sprint and tell them you want the deal where you can call 3 numbers for free any time. Then make your Google number one of those numbers. I never use any minutes that way. For the laptop get EasyTether Pro on your phone. Then you can tether the phone to the laptop. It has a one time cost of 5 bucks.

    RebelChick Thanks this.

Well, got out of Quincy, which is an adventure in itself. Picked up a load in Sprinfield, MA and delivered near Allentown. Then got a load picking up in Philly and headed to Hanover, MD. While waiting to check in I got another PP on my phone. I accepted it and then immediately got the load info. Was told to blow off the load I was on and head to the new one. Turned out the new one was about 7 miles from my original starting point near Allentown. Good old hazmat...LOL.

On my way to delivering that I was told I had to go to the Lexington, NC terminal for service after delivery. Tried to put it off but they said no. I wanted to get the training class and PM done at the same time. No class here until Wed. I'm not waiting here for that (I hope). Took advantage of the time off to grab the van and go to Walmart.

So here I sit in Lexington, waiting for a load. Hopefully I get to a training class soon.

Consider yourself lucky, that's the run I just did yesterday.

A big waste of time, certainly not worth it.

It took me almost 4 hours to get loaded even though a regular driver there told me it was a slow day at the plant (only him and I were there when I checked in), and then 4 hours to unload. Of coarse half of that time was picking up the pallet and a half of 1.5 liter coke bottles that were all over inside my trailer.

    Hassle avoided, well done, sir.

Sorry you got stuck with that load. Glad I avoided that hassle though.

Is it just me that when i get a load up to the northeast ill stay up there for about a week or 2 bouncing around up there doing short loads? and sometimes i may get a load away from the northeast but my next will go right back up to the hell hole.

Are teams really killing the solo drivers like that?

It's not just you. I liken it to getting stuck in a pinball machine.

Teams get to do the same thing out west. You can spend a week in California.

Not yet. I still have to take the trainer class. I have a feeling I'll end up there for that.
