Are you shure the forks are in front of throwout bearing? If they are then one of the plates is in wrong. But yes you can pray on bearing to remove vlocks it willnot hurt. Ill be suprized if you can pry them out if what you say is happening

Clutch discs are installed correctly and the forks are in front of the bearing

The torque is 55 LBS, I always replace the lock washers, and start at the bottom when tightening it up that centers the assembly.
If you press on the clutch and it will not move the forks then it sounds to me like you have jammed the fork in the preasure plate.
If the blocks did not fall out then the clutch was bolted n and the flywheel was ground then the preasure plate was not originally adjusted properly.
If the fork is in the preasure plate, you will not be able to turn the engine BY HAND, I do it threw the housing lower plug with a screw driver.
What ever you find it has to come out to fix.
The clutch brake is made to run in grease Period. -
Turns out the forks were jammed in the pressure plate. Was able to get those out and the clutch is working fine now, wood blocks are gone. Thanks again for all the help!
