any of you old hands haul a fire truck on a double drop?

I have move 2 pierce fire trucks on tuesday, 32 ft long in 29' well.

are there tie down points typically?

how high do you have raise the back end?

    gotta start somewhere somehow.

hauled bradley fighting vehicles and all my training consisted of being pointed to a truck.

those trucks normally sit pretty low to the ground. would a tank endorsement be needed? normally they are shipped dry. i would attach chains to the tow hooks and around the frame just as an idea on where to start. but id take a closer look once i was in front of the truck

how would it be any different than say a road trimmer, grader or payloader?

Tow hook tie downs and such are provided. Just remember to consider the weight of the vehicle and how many chains you'd need.

If for some reason there is no tow hooks, loop around the frame rails and suspension of the truck, you cant just hook to a frame rail without something to pull against or it will just slide up and down the rail.

I used to haul old broke down trucks and equipment for a scrap yard and I always went to the frame rails up against the suspension parts and pulling in opposite directions.

Kind of hard to explain without showing ya, good luck haulin those trucks.
