Soooo...I'm going to swift in Worthington to pick up a three-stopper in Chicago for Monday morning. Stop 1 and 3 are less than a block from each other. Stop 2 is in aurora, 45 miles away. Who came up with that??

You run into that quite a bit with multi stop loads, mainly due to receiving hours of the various customers. I was talking to a guy down here in Olathe at the 7-11 while waiting for my fuel ticket. He had been there since Wednesday getting repairs done to his trucks that were found at the scale on 35 south of town. Guess he had two bent axles, sagging frame, 3 blown air bags and a leaking rear main seal. I guess his bass was pissed because his load was late because of this too. Atleast the boss was generous enough to pay for half of his hotel room, what a joke!

I had a friend that had a jumbo oil leak that the company (a couple of jobs ago) just wouldn't fix, no matter how he pestered them. Finally he got sick of it and pulled into a coop and asked the officer to come outside with him. He opened the hood and said, "Will you red tag this thing please?" The engine block and compartment was completely smeared with oil. The officer put the truck out of service, and it finally got fixed. This was pre-CSA. I don't know how keen he'd be on doing that now...but he was pretty fearless.

Talked to Tim this morning and there is a driver getting loaded in Cleveland. I'm going to meet him on the Indiana Toll Road in South Bend for a ride out to Des Moines. Then they will send company van to pick me up there.

I didn't ask which company he pulled for, guess I was more concerned with getting fuel and dropping my wieners at Tyson so I could get back and snag one of the quickly vanishing parking spots at that little t/s.
