I was stuck in Chicago a couple weeks ago right before the stupid NATO conference and found a load from Michigan City to Panama City that paid 1050 for 943 miles. I figured after the company got there cut. I would get 750 for 943 miles so it was wait for a better load or haul for .75 a mile. I made myself comfortable at the TS and got to know some of the workers a little

I can't believe your company even considered something that cheap out of that area. Chicago land has got to have the best rates all year long that I know of.

Yeah. If it was dry freight headed to Florida, I believe it. I was quoted 1850 from Joliet to Miami a couple weeks ago. It gets rough during produce season. Unless your gonna do the multi stop thing.

Ok. Stupid thing wouldn't let me edit. It was 1850 from Joliet to Tampa. Yes rates suck this time of year going to Florida. If you have a reefer they know produce is paying good coming out. I think melons that week were at 3300-3500 going back to Detroit. So that's a 5100 before my cheap 300 dollar menards load to get home from Detroit. In the grand scheme cheap freight sometimes pays for fuel for all your deadhead for the trip. Gotta think further ahead.

Today may not be the day?? NH to Fl 1438 miles 4200# 365.00. I told the broker they might try
the US postal service and postage stamps.
Has anyone had one of them NH massages I was looking online and wondering all what they rub on??
And if they can do it better than I can?
What would be a good price if you know?

Have you ever delt with Bear Trans they are offering this load very boldley for $1400 from Dallas area to Lakeland FL The contact rate is @ 1.90 /mile (meaning a set route for every day no map pulluots or phone calls) Spot market is usually 40--50 Cents higher than that on a reqular day and times.
