Awesome news double yellow. So far, we are pleased. He responds quickly and he stays on top of things. We are looking forward to making him proud to have us on his board. Arrive early!! Deliver Early!!

So far so good... On one of our first loads, we were sent by our home. We had the opportunity to have dinner with family. My parents are up in age (faculties ALL there and feisty as ever!) It was a wonderful surprise for them and us too. I think Ryan is going to be just fine.

great to hear. He seems to work a lot of weekends & holidays too (might get you a little extra attention from overworked skeleton crews...)

Thanks double yellow. I needed to hear that today.

Just hate being lied to by someone that you really want to trust.
It hurts my heart that people can be so outright mean at times.

OK. I put my BIG GIRL Trucker Panties back on!
Just had a moment of singing the "Nightshift Blues".

We will just keep going above and beyond and let the little fellas get their jollies however they can.
Here's hoping for some of those miles that we are TO BE averaging.
    Original promise..."An average of
    4500-5000
    miles per week!"
    until next time...

Sorry to hear someone lost your trust, and I know how those night shifts.can wear on you. Did you ever get that cb? I've found it helps a bit with the monotony (although it seems I have to turn if off a few times.a.day due to idiots arguing politics). I'm sure your miles will rebound too -- just need to get in one of those good cycles (my favorite cycle: WA to NJ, PA to OH, OH to CA, CA to WA, WA to NJ...)

My first 4 days solo will have been quite productive at 2400, but I'll then have to wait almost 40 hours for a delivery appt on a 300 mile run ending monday. Guess I'll take my 34 near a train station so I can finally cross seeing our nation's capitol off my bucket list.

In reality double yellow. It is the nature of the beast. Anonymity unleashes a person's true character. If you notice, my face is right next to each post. I don't create "colorful" user ids and pretend to be a driver to try to manipulate a reaction. Since we didn't respond correctly, we are getting the load that doesn't exist or sent to pick up the preloaded drop and hook that is really a live load or the driver that is waiting with bated breath to take our load from an unsecured drop yard and upon arrival we are told he is actually 76 miles away. You know... that kind of stuff.
The anonymity thing is also the reason we still haven't gotten a cb. I have talked to many female drivers and 99% say that as soon as the female voice vocalizes over the radio, the wolves come out. But I do believe we are still going to get one next home time just for the purpose of staying abreast of traffic and general info.
On a brighter note, we once again had load going through our home base and I had the opportunity to wish my dad a Happy Father's day and give him the hugs and the kudos he deserves. (I believe we have Chad, one of the really good dispatchers to thank for that.)
Ron and I truly enjoy OTR and in spite of the unnecessary stuff, we still strive to do our job well. We have read the forums long before we got into this industry and knew that we would be dealing with this. But just as there are those that thrive on the negative, there are those who still restore my faith in humanity on a daily basis. Our goal is to do a good job, keep positive attitudes and strive to find joy in every available opportunity. It is nice to see that you do this too.
And we are glad to see things are going well for you. This is encouraging.

    Until next time...

Hey TNA. I will get back with you later on that. The miles have varied lately. June (we have heard) is one of the best months for freight. Once this month is done, I'll do an accurate average of our overall miles.

    tna Thanks this.
