Ok here is my situation, I am currently working for US Xpress and going to be quitting, but I don't know if they will put abandonment of a truck on my dac if I don't return it to the terminal where I picked it up at. I am dropping the truck at another terminal so could they go ahead and add that to my dac report?

If you gave them two weeks notice ask them where they wish their druck delivered, trying to make you work beyond the two weeks is a violation of federal law. It is called slavery.

I'm considering training for a CDL, but would like to be sure I can get a job beforehand. I was convicted of Theft, Forgery, and Identity Theft in 2003. Felonies all. It was credit cards and checks. I've been checking policies on some companies, but they're not all crystal clear. Some companies will deny you if the conviction is job-related, and others say it's a case by case basis.

Is it still fairly possible to pick up decent work with these felonies? I understand there are companies that I can't work for. FFE seems to be more strict about it, for example. I also realize you can only give me opinion, and that's fine. Any advice? Should I apply at companies before I even have my CDL? They would have to wait until the training was completed, is that a problem? A minimum of 8 weeks.

No one will hire you without a cdl unless they also have a school. Given the number of companies that hire people that do not speak english, and there is no real way to check their back grounds. If you really want to work just apply to the companies that have training. Good luck, keep your noise clean.

I dont know if this has been said or not yet. But there is a way for you to get a copy of your DAC online... go to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Here you can see your DAC for a fee and it online and you will have access to it at anytime once it is there. It does take a few days for the system to get all the required information

Why tell the members to go to a certain 3rd party site and pay a $10 fee when you can go straight to the source and get it for free?
