pretrip? tug test? those loads arent like loads down here working for a company. Those are the only loads around and no scales to speak of, pretty sure if the wheels turn they're taking the trailer.

That's the reason for the drama and the goofy characters. The real drivers are pretty boring as Tv because they don't do dumb stuff like Hugh and co. -
pretrip? tug test? those loads arent like loads down here working for a company. Those are the only loads around and no scales to speak of, pretty sure if the wheels turn they're taking the trailer. They are very SAFETY minded and DOT is enforcing the rules , SCALE house at the start of the Dalton is buisy with inspections , and oversized permits they juist do not show that much of it .

Ya, the splicing is out of control! They will be filming in Alex's truck (prostar) and cut to a far away shot and it will show a Kenworth. I guess to the normal everyday viewers it isn't noticeable. All the sounds are edited in there too, definitely the horns and the ice cracking etc... That part to me is pretty funny! Little over kill!
envayne Thanks this. -
If they showed all the pre trips post trips, saftey inspections the show would be boring, i understand the tricks of the trade to make it interesting to watch.

Your post only NOTED "Those are the only loads around and no scales to speak of, pretty sure if the wheels turn they're taking the trailer" so next time tell where your TALKING about. There are plenty of scales and inspection stations that they run past before they get to the winter roads, its not all muskeg right to Main street in Winnipeg.

I do believe that safety is paramount there, that's just common sense. But what I feel the problem with these hot shots that go up there for the bucks do not realize how much you need to depend on the other drivers. Even the know-it-all kid doesn't realize that money means nothing when you're frozen to death behind the wheel because you were too stupid to equip your truck. Who doesn't check their chains before leaving when you know you're going into the #####. After seeing Jack last season deal with the air clearner at 50 below I know I sure would tap into that knowledge. You can only gain that knowledge by going through it. You'd just be stupid to ignore it. And Porkchop is just going to make all kinds of friends with his prestigious CB lingo. Like "Hey there southbound good buddy keep the muddy side down and the clean side up, I haven't seen a bear since I left town. I'll see you on the flip side and don't let them snakes and midnight knockers get to you. Porkchop out. WTF.
