I agree gain isn't there. The one thing that does work is there is better coverage on both sides of the trailer. With the single antenna one side is less effective.
But there is no doubt setting up and maintaining dual antennas requires some knowledge as well as some special equipment.

CORRECT only for cophased and you only need RG-8X for one antenna -
Sorry to butt in here .. but I have a question .. ive had cb's for a long time but never really got very good with being able to set them up .. I am just finishing school and will be getting my truck in about two weeks .. still not sure what it will be but will be a 2007 columbia or a 2013 prostar.. Ive got a ranger rg 99 peaked and tuned , how big a=of a pain is it to replace ant. cables and is it pos to do with out making the company i work for upset .. also with the radio I have what is easy to get a good setup for range ... single ant.? was prob going to use the wilson 2000 and just do one . since i have enough problems getting the swr right with ONE ... LOL or is it really not that bad to set up two ? any help would be great ! thanks in advance.

Unless you wanna cut coax to specific lengths and match the systems up right, I'd go single. Replacing the coax has been easy in every truck I've driven. But never driven an international.
nd4spdz Thanks this.
