Just got a 2012 Cascadia last week. When I talk I can hear myself thru the trucks radio speakers. Not using any of the trucks set-up. Ran my own coax, power/ground and using my antenna. I had this same set-up in my old truck and had no issues. Any advice?

    My bad. lol

That doesn't make sense. If you ran your own power and coax there shouldn't b anything else..

    Did you plug this in??

An external speaker? Yes I have one. Don't see that being an issue.

I'm going to lean towards coax. It is (or was) a good Astatic cable but maybe it's damaged or not shielded as well as I thought. I mounted antenna on the drivers door on a perch so the coax does go behind the dash over the truck radio and that diplexer that the Cascadia has.

Remember most of the other coax n the truck is poorly shielded, your radio (likely in the overhead) is likely to *ride* in on other wiring in the truck especially if the radio is high powered or limitation removed etc etc. In most cases, just turn the stereo down or off when transmitting on the CB, that's easiest resolve.

Mine does that when my amp is on because of cb antenna proximity to radio antenna. Runs my voice right through it.

I seen this before, The coax you ran, is it touching the or real close to other wires?, like speaker wires?, If so, try moving them apart, had a similar thing happen, the company im with uses people net, and the wires where ran close to the CB wires, and making noise through my radio, seperated wires, no more issue
