They're OK, nothing special. The wind noise from the flimsy doors is annoying, but can be cleaned up with adjustment a little bit. The screeching whistle from the wind on the mirror shells is annoying, too. Nice room though and makes for a great team truck. Cheap parts from the bone yards since they are so plentiful.

The one I drove was an electrical nightmare.

I have heard a lot of horror stories about T 2000, but we have had 8 of them and they are all over a million. Yeah we have had some issues but no worse than any other million mile truck.

 

Biggest piece of crap KW has ever put on 10 tires !!! JMO

 

My '06 T2 has about 750k on it. Had a few minor problems over the last 18 mos, but nothing unreasonable. I get 7+ MPG, usually running whatever the speed limit is.
It does have an inherent problem with the door alignment and wind noise, most notably in a cross wind. The A/C system is adequate, at best, but passable for the most part.
Like most trucks, it has it's quirks, and the reliability is going to directly in relation to the care & maintenance, not to mention the care taken by the driver.
