Would any Owner Operator give an ex-driver with a felony a chance? I can state as of right now that my old CDL expired in 2009 and i caught the felony in 2011. The rest i'll state via phone or PM. IF any Owner Operator would consider hiring me, i'll have to take a refresher course and get a corrected CDL, i've been out of a truck over 6 months.

Yeah, you're in a tough spot. IF you are going to get a job, it will be a 7 year wait. With an OO it will depend on them and insurance company. It's almost impossible to lie or 'omit' any histories these days. BIG BROTHER has arrived! You just have to face facts. Do something else for the next 6 years or so. Sorry man. That's the way it is.

Im not sure about a big company but o/o with few trucks will hire you. I have a new felony and I had no problem getting hired. I run twice a month from Nj to Ca.

Probably be hard pressed to get a hire with: drug related, theft related or crimes of violence/weapons related. Then again - that doesn't leave a whole helluva lot in the felony department any more, now does it?

Depending on the type of crime (and final disposition of the case, i.e.: adjudication withheld, etc.), you aren't going to get a HM endorsement, a TWIC card or entry into Canada.

There might be RARE EXCEPTIONS to the rule - but few and far between - especially with a year old felony (are you even OFF PROBATION yet?).

TheBigDiesel? Back to TROLL AGAIN are we?

That's what I SAID - you will not get into CANADA.

And, as your usual style - you provide no POSITIVE INFORMATION of your OWN - just accuse others of providing BAD INFORMATION.

    Complaint sent (again)...

    Buh BYE...

I admit to making a mistake, i have dug up that i can get my criminal history expunged within 5 years after completing probation. I have been off probation since March 25, 2012. I do not a current CDL since the one i had lapsed back in 2009 and i've been off the road since Feb. 10, 2007.

Not sure what you did, but having a felony and a screen name of "widowmaker" just is not a good combo..... just sayin

I have felonies from 2007 and 2008...I am having a hard time getting a job...I had one but got fired today because I couldn't get a TWIC card...The company told me when they hired me that they could work around the TWIC card.... I'm not giving up I'm sure there is a company out there somewhere... If anyone has any suggestions that would be cool...

As far as not getting into Canada that is crap...You can get what is called a ministers permit....I possess one....It is expensive and takes a lot to go through to get it but it can be done.

I would imagine that, if you could get a "ministers permit" to get into Canada, you could get a waiver for a TWIC also.

You're one of the lucky ones (as far as the Canada permit) - a conviction as recent as yours is difficult to overcome.
