I very seldom get east. They mainly been keeping me in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Texas (alot of texas, dallas mainly) but they are all good 500 mile runs, so by the time monday rolls around I'll have 2500-2800 for the week but this week aint gonna be so good after sitting all day Tuesday and first appointment aint till 0300 tomorrow morning. Still time though, maybe I can get some decent miles this week if I dont sit all day again. Can always hope.

next time when at lawton put that wheel chock they have in front of trailer tires that will get them to slide

That's a good run! I used to go to the Carolinas all of the time with Glen Moore. We had a lot of freight going to and from the area. I like it down there. I went to school and got my CDL in NC.

They had me put it in a dock in DeKalb this morning. Usually, I just drop it in a slot. The tandems slid to the back but they wouldn't move another .5 inches to lock in the pins. The yard guy said just leave it and don't worry about it (when I asked him for a wheel chock). They sent a preplan but I couldn't make it to Alsip before break (and after break it would be past the 7 PM appointment). I told early am dispatch what the plan was but they never told my BL or forwarded the message. LOL I had some time left when I finished but there was only an hour on my 14 hour clock by the time they sent the preplan. At least I got that load done a whole day early. Hopefully, BL isn't mad at me for that...and will send something later.

I've actually had to use rocks one time at the truck stop in Milton, PA to slide the rear axle backward...and another time, I had to drive so the drive and rear axles were in front and back of a median like island with curbs (trailer body over the entire median) at a truckstop. It's much easier when you have to slide the tandems forward...you just find a curb and push backwards. You have to get more creative when you need to move them backwards. LOL

You're getting some bad trailers?... I've never had to do that, ever... even with the heavy paper loads. -
I have always been able to use the handbrake to get them to slide. Never in 14 years had to do that when I have had a handbrake.
-
Those two times, when I had to get really creative, were with a different company. It's the same deal though. When the tracks and pins get all rusty, they bind up and don't slide. Sometimes, you might get a trailer where the rear brakes don't hold as well as they should, too...or be in a dusty lot and the tires just slide. A hand brake does come in handy.
