My fan clutch (Volvo VT 830 with Cummins ISX engine) burned up, so I changed it for new one and aproximately after 30 miles it burned up again. I put there another new fan clutch and also changed fan clutch colinoid. Now my fan clutch works good when AC control is turned ON. (even if it reaches over 1500 rpm). I found out my fan clutch is slipping only if engine reaches temperature when the fan should kick on. I think that the colinoid kicks ON and OFF air quickly in short intervals, probably in 2 or 3 sec.
My theory is that the problem is in electric power going to colinoid and I have no idea why. Can anyone help me?
