if you were a real trucker, you'd also have your spare tire around your neck and a 4X4 piece of dunnage under each arm as well as the 10 chains.

Back when I was OTR, resets weren't around, but we had a hotel for 1-2 days waiting for return loads.
Lucky to be in a city, and did all the tourist stuff. Used taxi's buses and walked alot. In winter, did malls for walking and movies.
first thing everyday was to find a paper and sit at starbucks and enjoy my drink, and watch the regulars do their routine. -

I have been successful in taking 90% of my resets at home.
If I choose to take one OTR, I will do laundry, polish/seal my chrome/aluminum bits and watch movies. That, and look for shops and other things to check out near my truck. -
NDBADLANDS Thanks this.

running continuous and not taking a reset burns me out faster.

when i was on the road i usually got a hotel room to relax and rest. sometimes i would get a cab to go places. the net helps to find things to do.
