You wouldn't be blackballed from the industry, but you have so much time in it would be a shame to quit now and start all over again.
The DM is only interested in pushing you through. You should have a training coordinator to talk to, or call safety.
I like the suggestion of cleaning the truck up. Maybe that would shame your trainer into helping you. Driving around with the windows down might help air that thing out too. And if the bunk smells like urine he can get a new mattress.
I love cats. I have the perfect truck cat sitting at home. My wife keeps trying to talk me into bringing it out on the road. I just don't want to deal with that litter box smell in such tight quarters.
162 hours invested in training with Swift... I can't deal anymore.. Help?!

Pjay, get on your own, and get experience.
when you get enough under your belt, you can mentor, and maybe break the chain?
provided you don't bring the cat, stop cleaning and hand out buckets to your co-drivers...lol.
seriously, if we all find a problem in the industry that bothers us, and try extra hard to reverse it or eliminate it, we might make a dent in this truckin lifestyle.
Me, I hate not flashing/dimming me to come over, or thanking me for flashing/dimming the lights for you.
I try to do it all the time. Also I signal every turn, or have fourways on while backing. Thats just me....lol.starsonwindow Thanks this. -
After all you been through when you get on your own trucking will be easy!!
Seriously, I am in the camp that says try and stick it out. If this was the beginning of training I would probably have a different opinion, butb you have gone too far and put up with too much crap to start over. Best of luck too you!! -
Just tell the DM he is making sexual advances towards you,you will be on another truck in a heart beat.

If you were only kidding then........... -

If you've been up the chain of command about this situation somebody on that chain will do something about it. Its just the same situation with smokers and non smokers. Go up the chain at the same time keep knocking them hours out, you should be done in roughly 2 weeks max, try stick it out but if you can't you could get on another unit.#
I don't smoke, I had a student that smoke like a chimney and it was no problem for them to put him on another unit, after that situation I don't train anyone that smoke. I have nothing against smokers it just the after smell -
