you could, but why?
-
its just not working the greatest. my cobra 19 seemed to work better on the same antenna setup
-
define not working? Getting out? or receiving.
Are you sure the antenna is tuned correctly to the radio? -
It works its just choppy somtimes when I receive, but im also not sure if its the other persons radio's signal cutting in and out. I can hear/talk just fine. Also in minnesota we have some days where all I get is static feed from some high powered radio's around the area, other days its quiet and i dont need to tune them out.
-
sounds about normal then for an 11 meter radio.
-
Yeah I might just add an amp, but i dont really want to fry one with stock wattage. So I should be alright if i added an amp?
-
yeah, there are 75 watt amps that you can get for a stock radio.
-
alrighty ill just do that, thanks.
-
If you don't intend to change that radio in any way you will need an amp that is designed to take 4w input. The smallest amp I know of that will work harmoniously with that is from XForce called "Midnight Special MF200". This amp would be your best bet.
Flip Flops Thanks this.
