Yeah and I'll also be wasting my time, money and cdls if I go that route. Like I said I would like to start out as a company driver.
What happened!!!! Who knows!!!

I already have countless amount of time and money spent on my cdls and I think I already risked the fact of not liking something, don't you think.

Wow, you blow into a thread with a completely different subject, ask for advice & then act like a arse after it is given to you. Here is to hoping you have a nice long career at whatever mega cheap carrier will put up with you!jbatmick Thanks this.
-
Take it easy on Kash he started the thread just go to the top. He was very specific on what he wanted answered.Kash6972 Thanks this.
-
You actually call that advice. And why are you in this thread? Oh I see, just cause your probably down in the middle of Nowhere, IL and you can't find anyone on the CB to talk your crap. And don't be but hurt cause some carrier didn't put up with your arse!!!
-
Winkjr, this is totaly off subject but that is a kool looking patch for your profile pic. What if you don't mind me asking is it for?
-
It's for a squadron I belonged to when I was in the marines. But yeah these guys are tough on here.
-
Yeah that's kool. And these guys on here don't rattle me, I just want to get to the point and not have my time wasted with ignorance.
-
The point is, START/FIND a thread looking for the help you need. THEN others can find the answers & use the advice as well. THIS thread started with Chalupa asking what happened to Union carriers, rail yards, new cars etc. that started 6 days ago. Had nothing to do with new people getting into the industry. If you ask for advice, you can read it anyway you like, but show some respect to those two who tried to answer your question(s).
KANSAS TRANSIT and chalupa Thank this. -
Here's my take on it Kash, with ONLY 6 months behind the wheel in a REGIONAL position, there are probably not any of the GOOD carriers that will even look your way. Even thou you think you have a lot invested in getting your Class A it pales in comparision to a 300,000 Auto Hauler, and that is NOT counting your 500,000 cargo.
I would suggest you get at LEAST 3 FULL years under your belt, and you will at some point HAVE to get some Long haul OTR experience on your resume, you are BUILDING a career, it is NOT going to happen overnite.
After you have that resume, then go to Bavarian, Copper, Cassiens, Waggoners, etc, IF your resume is good enough they may hire you and THEN they will train you.
JMHO,
Stan
