Went in at 0730 like always only to be told they didnt have a load for me today, so i had 2 options turn around and go home or work the dock, and since the pay checks are depressing enough i decided i'd work like 8 hours on the dock and go home. Well 1pm comes around and i was asked to do a favor, do a short shuttle run (drop n hook 20 miles up the highway) so i did it, then i came back and they had another one 20 miles in the other directions so i did that one. Got back at 515pm dropped the trailer in a door and and logged out at 530pm (10 hour day, ALL paid by the hour every minute and only drove 77 miles). Good money/little to no real work...good day lol

What do you know about Blue Max Trucking AT. Seem to have a huge thing going by the looks of their yard, which usually means they like to pay their guys 12 bucks an hour, am I about right on this one?

Oh I don't think I'd be moving here anytime soon, it is a nice area but it's back to Florida for us. They do have a nice fleet, but I've been around that business long enough to know that they seem to have a lot of overhead in top notch equipment so the pay seems to suffer.

I drove 77 from Cleveland to Charlotte today - one of your fellow Centralites decided to take the 50mph turn in Wytheville at about 70. Saw him flying up next to me and backed off so he could have both lanes. Had I not we both would have wrecked! Freggin' linehaulers!
Dennis_Miller and scottied67 Thank this. -
