..you're saying I'm NOT a good Catholic!! ha ha The word Catholic means 'Universal." As a believer, I belong to the universal church of Jesus Christ! And, being a 'member' of the Catholic Church wont get one to heaven...if so, the MAFIA has a group waiting to get in!!:biggrin_25513:

No I'm not saying that. I'm not even a member of that cult, I mean church anymore.

..you have 'Hope' Leanne...I dont like to put down any denomination, but TRUE Christianity is MORE than a religious denomination!! :biggrin_25517:

I agree with you there. It is really easy to get up on your high horse and tell others how to live. The hard part is actually doing it, and doing it without tooting your own horn. Those who scream the loudest about what a good Christian that they are, usually aren't.

..I'd pat you on the back!! It's so hard to explain what REAL Christianity is!! It's a commitment, not a religious system! We are all sinners, and none better than the other..but 'Grace' (God's 'unmerited favor' toward us) can change all things! He left us His word to discover that...

..you can have your eyes on 'man' and use that as an excuse to throw 'the baby out with the bathwater,' but the scripture is "cursed is the man that trusts in mankind!" Why we have to get it on our own personal basis..:biggrin_25514:

Sorry, the company I work for doesn't install any optional equipment on our trucks. We had to point out that doors and windows are a DOT requirement before we got those.

Seriously, though - you *do* exit the truck on occasion, right? During the day? For dropping/hooking trailers, or maybe that long walk from the back row to the restroom maybe - assuming you don't use a 5-gallon bucket that doubles as a driver's seat

That straw hat can really come in handy when you're walking across the parking lot at the Petro in Kingman on a hot August afternoon...remember, sunburn can occur in as little as 15 minutes in direct sunlight. And sunburn on the scalp is not pleasant, as I learned the hard way.

Ok, I just stumbled on this thread and I thought that I'd better toss in my $.02....

I wear the fingerless gloves, but only when I'm fishing in the cold weather :yes2557:

I would much rather see the "Merle Costume" over the latest "trucker slob" fashion of the sweat pants, sweat shirt with the hacked off sleeves, flip flops showing off those 3" yellow toenails and the greasy hair that hasn't seen water in a week or so.

When I think of guys dressing up like cowboys, it reminds me of a skit by George Carlin... Why do guys feel that they need to walk around dressed as a 19th century mythical figure? You don't see people walking around dressed as pirates!:biggrin_25523:
