    It is still up in the air.

    OOIDA filed a suit and it was ruled against the EOBR's. It is being sent back for rewording.

    However, a search will give more specifics.

    OOIDA can file suit challenging an FMCSA proposed regulation . They can't use that tactic when EOBR requirement is a law as part of a highway bill . I'm surprised Public Citizen didn't manage to get speed limiters included also .

    The speed limiter law was just successfully challenged in Ontario. I think proponents want to go back and rethink the wording before they try and slip it in and make us all safer.
