Hello:
I came across this site the other day and wanted to express my thanks for letting me join. I am not a trucker by profession. Rather, I am a high school mathematics teacher - algebra and geometry. You may be asking what is a high school teacher joining a forum like this? Well, last week I took a road trip from Rochester, NY to Amarillo, TX. During this road trip I was very much amazed by the number of trucks on the road (running 24/7). Before this road trip I never gave it much thought, but after sharing the road with you I was very much impressed with your professionalism. You are really awesome.
I look forward to being a part of this forum and using it as a resource to learn more about your profession.
Thanks again for all you do.

Thank you.
By the way, I did spend a day in Rolla, MO and was very much impressed with the country. -
Missouri is really pretty, kind of like upstate NY without lake effect snow

Yes that is true. As I traveled from Rochester to Amarillo I was very much impressed with the change in landscape. Another thing which impressed me the most was the corn fields in Iowa and Nebraska. I thought we had corn in New York. Wow! These states have us New Yorkers beat.
