I had just about the same problem here where I live. My dispatcher asked me to take a load that we had back hauled to a local grocery whse for a 7 am appt. I got there in plenty of time and they told me I would have to wait my turn, come back in an hour. this happened several times. Finally its almost time for them to quit for the day and they put me in a door. when I went in they told me I had to unload the truck and this is how they want it stacked on the pallets. I told them they were mistaken I didn't work for them and if its not unload before they are ready to go home I'm leaving with the load. They called my bluff so I called theirs and I left. The security guard stopped me at the gate and wanted to know where I was going with their load. I told him that until they sign for it its my load and I'll see you later and proceeded to leave, well they must have called the police because as I was just about to go through the gate they stopped me and asked me for my bill of lading and what seemed to be the problem.I told them and I showed them where I signed for the mdse. and that no one from there had signed for the load and they said that I was right ,have a nice day. my dispatcher got on the phone and told them we were charging the 100.00 per day for storage ,my time spent at their facility and the time it took them to get it unloaded. they had one day to make up their mind as to what they wanted to do. The trailer was unloaded the next day ,by them , no lumper fees. I stayed in the truck and they unloaded it in under an hour.

6th in line to the gate.......2hrs to get to the gate. get to the gate and she says through the speaker......'be with you in a minute'.......which turned into 30 minutes.......by the time i got to the gate they were stacked up about 15 deep behind me.....knew they weren't getting out today lol

back into the door and have to go inside and observe the load. stand there another 2 hours waiting then they get the two guys that were behind me because my order isn't ready yet.

4hrs later finally pull out of the door.....then to the gate to get out.....

sign the paperwork and gaurd says go to your truck and i'll bring your seal and paperwork right out......which happened 25 minutes later

6 1/2 hours later, finally out of the gate......and of course, 47k and no scale before the coop going ineither direction on 76 or 77 so through the woods i go to get to a scale.....which was an adventure in itself running the 1 1/2 lane wide roller coaster to the 'main' 2 lane to get to 77 and the scale......dodging the tractors and the amish buggies along the way......and they're never in the flat where you can see them they're always just over the crest of the hill where you can't

everyone there said SOP for that place. once a year will do me for that place thank you......but #### good miles on the run lol......

Just did Morton Salt, Gransville Ut. WOW, arrived at 9:45 am, was out by 12:15 pm. But apparently they are idiots. Oriignal load called for 47K, sorry, that's too heavy can't do more than 44K. No problem, they cut it down down to 44,350. Sure they did. With 1/2 tanks, I still scaled out 80,500 lbs, 10,800 on the steers, 35,500 on the drives, 34,400 on the tandems. Thankfully no scales between there and Evanston, Wyo., burned most of the 500 lbs by the time I got to Evanston. Thankfully Wyo and Co. allow 36K for drives or tandems. I figure they still had closer to 45,000 on me.

Rude, uncourteous, and not willing to fix unsafe things loaded on your trailer.

I asked the owner to fix a gaylord box before he loaded it on my van trailer and was met by a rude response, I had to call the broker and threaten to leave the rest of the load before they fixed what I asked...

Wolverine in Detroit, MI They scheduled a bunch of trucks to be unloaded on Memorial Day but no one showed up that day. Apparently they decide if they want to come in or not and when they want to come in. They finally showed up Tuesday around noon.. didn't unload us until Wednesday. 27 hours later we finally left. EXTREMELY BAD NEIGHBORHOOD to be sitting around waiting to be unloaded. Beggars knockign on your windows left and right with sob stories and No idling policy. When it starts to get dark outside they have you pull into their heavily gaurded and fenced in lot for the night.

Oh believe me.. we idled anyways. LOL I'm not going to suffer for anybody. Now in California though we were delivering to a Wal-Mart and had the truck idling. Guess someone called the local cops because they came out and told us we needed to shut the truck off. We were fixing to run in and buy groceries and we were going to leave it running like we always do for our dog. Told the officer that and his answer was "Park it in the shade and leave the windows open" It was SOO hot and miserable that day, there was no way we were going to let the dog sufffer in the heat like that. We just left. HATE going to CA!! I think they just hate all truckers there.

I have to say PEPSI, why? they generally treat my drivers with no respect, they make us wait several hours with no explanation and load us extemely heavy. On several occassions they don't even have scales on site and we have to drive for 1hr to the nearest scale in Hayward CA. They are firm about appointment times and when you arrive on time they make you wait for hours. They have a policy to load their trucks before the long haul trucks as a result we waist a lot of time.
