thanks, I was able to start orientation with the paper copy as it didnt expire till after the training period was over. Also my team partner and I lived near Atlanta so we were able to go home after class and pick up the hard copy. Good luck to you.

Yes, he is logging on. It's not exactly the same as the website. It's probably comparable to a mobile version of a website. Not much on the DT version. The website does show that the videos were completed on the DT. It even has a feature where you can print a certificate of completion.
Basically we were both told there would be a confirmation number and to write it down in case it didn't get recorded. Since I know how to access the website I can see for myself if it was recorded or not. -
Unless they fixed it, the DT sometimes has the hiccups and the student ends up redoing the lesson. It's actually easier to do them on a laptop.

Keep trying. As amazing as it seems, lately USX recruiters are not.as agressive as those from other companies. Most 'student' companies are going ape over new hires, but from personal experience and also hearing the stories of newbies and those on this forum...they have plenty of material and applicants to work with. It seems that about 1/2 to 1/3 rd of the orientation class are going home right now. But, remember that about 1/2 of those getting sent home are being called back in within a week to go to work. Teams are a priority right now with USX, but it seems silly, but most of the new hires are solo's. They push teams, but most new hires are solos. (My perception)
Also, if you are coming from another company as a first seat driver...if your record is fairly clean, dont worry, it seems that they want you and get you seated and out pretty quick. If you have issues, it seems they still want you, but be prepared for perhaps a few days to a weeks wait to get seated. -
Im not sure of how to go about finding completed lessons on the DT because my trainer has the newest version of the DT and the pro tread videos won't work with this newest version. So I had to watch all the videos on my laptop. Which works better because I got to at least lay down in the bunk instead of sit in the driver seat! Haha. Good luck with your student hope it goes well for ya. Make it fun for the student to learn and it will make the time go by fast and be alot more fun than feeling like your in boot camp. A guy I was at orientation with called me today and he's having one misrible time with his trainer because every little mistake or question he asks that his trainer thinks is stupid the guy flips out and jumps down his throat like he's a drill Sargent. That's no way to learn at all. He's calling his coordinator tomorrow to try and get off the truck I guess.

I have to say that in the 19 months we have been with USX, this is the first time we really NEEDED home time. We were just tired. Having a great week at home and man I love Fort Collins CO. We have some friends with Team One who broke down in Cheyenne (Drive shaft fell off the truck) and they came down to spend the day with us. Awesome time.

Well we've been in Cali for 2 days now. Sent us on what should have been a daycab run yesterday with 3 loading stops all over downtown LA. What a pain in the arse!!!! Those roads were not meant for sleeper cabs with 53ft trailers. Lol. After we got done with that trailer it was supposed to go to the CSX rail yard. Well about 1 min away from there they changed the destination to a diff rail yard 30 mins back the way we just came from. So we turn around and drop where they want it and they had no PP for us and no one responding back (night shift for ya!). So we decide to bobtail over to the Colton CA terminal so we could at least get a shower and some take out food. We now have a PP this morning from here to Atlanta GA but need a empty trl for the live load. Apparently acquiring an empty trl in CA is the same odds of meeting God twice in the same day. We are on a witch hunt for a empty as I type this. Sitting in a shippers yard where there was suppose to be a empty but after driving a few laps around there isn't one. Soooo now we sit and wait for further instruction.......

Hi guys, its been a while since I've been on here. I didn't realize how much free time I seemed to have being out here by myself, but that's all changed now that the girlfriend is in the truck. I just read through the thread and it sounds like everyone is doing good other than the usual hiccups, as well as a frequent question asker is now on board with us, congratulations ATL-1!!
We've been running pretty good after a slow start to her training, but they seem to have it going on for us now. It doesn't seem like a lot, but her hours are adding up fast, considering that we've put a couple of trailers and the tractor through the shop and took a 34 reset that we didn't really need, but we sat so long we decided to just finish it out.
Here's the trips we've had since she started training:
Elwood, IL to Gas City, IN
Indianapolis, IN to Topeka, KS
Spring Hill, KS to Chicago, IL
Hodgkins, IL to Mooresville, IN
Mooresville, IN to Lansing, MI
Finally first time since I've been here, they kept us busy all weekend. We loaded in Parchment, MI on Friday morning and headed towards to Pickens, MS. We ended up dropping that in Olive Branch Saturday afternoon and grabbed a loaded one there going to Salt Lake City, UT that we delivered last night.
Now we're loading in SLC about 1 mile from our drop last night and doing a short run up to Gooding, ID. Going to Idaho is cool with me because it is one of 6 states in the lower 48 that I haven't been to yet!
We just got off the phone with the training department and thanks to all those hours she put in over the weekend, we will be able to run as a team for the rest of her training after this delivery. Only about 40 more hours until she can upgrade!
Oh yeah, we got a new ride last week too...
