Maybe they were friendlier because I was a trainer and they are hurting for trainers bad right now. I dont know, but my fm was always pretty cool to me, maybe it was just him. :)

I had a few FM's that were cool, and one that finally put me over the top. His manager became my dispatcher after I lost it on him and my FM quit a few days later. Oh well I never called them much and was left alone with all my pre-plans. It was gravy if you can trip plan.

Lots of factors go into what you say to a driver, but none of it means anything. The company will decide to bring you back or not by a different set of rules.

Yes, if you let and didn't have issues there are recruiters that call employees that left. They kept calling one of my old drivers that left to go to school to see if he wanted to come back. It always made me think that they wanted him to fail at school.

I have left 3 times and always got rehired. They never really said anything to me when I left. When I had Meghan as a DSR out of Gary, she was pretty nice to me when I left. Funny thing, when I left the next time she saw me turning in my locks and keys and just started laughing because a year and a half after she saw me off the first time, I got rehired and was leaving again. What do you know, here I am again in a Roehl truck.

Thats what I was just thinking, I left to do local O.O stuff. It seemed like they were waiting for me to fail also. Oh well asking still doesnt hurt.

Thanks! Yeah my kids were pretty excited when I told them. I know my wife will appreciate an ally at bedtime. :)

Yeah I'll pull vans if that's where the work is. As long as they can keep me busy M-F.

Yeah, I didn't screw them and gave notice even though it kind of ended up cut short anyway. I'm sure I fit the rehire criteria, though I hope I won't have to come back... again. :)

dude6710, Bigdubber and Meltom Thank this.
