Made it to Gary... Dropped our load for a relay and we are heading to Randolph OH to pick up new trailers tomorrow.

Sitting in Muscatine at HON. This should have been an easy d/h, but the load I was supposed to get and relay in Gary was taken by a Raun driver yesterday. Now I'm at the mercy of the weekend crew to try to figure out what is going on. There are two other Roehl loads sitting here and they go east. Maybe I'll get one if those and take it to Gary. Oh well. This happens once and a while to remind me that after a nice smooth week with no problems, something is going to go wrong!

In carol stream, Illinois picking up at specialty rolled metals. Been here 5 hours, have watched 4 other trucks come in after me, get loaded before me, and leave. Sucks but by the time I get loaded I should have a 10 hour break in lol

Sitting in S. Beloit at the hook. Saw the remnants of a bad accident on I-90 East bound. Small sedan was crispy and a SUV did a few flips and was resting on it's side. The SUV looked like it took the worst of it even though the sedan was burnt up. Hope everyone was alright.

Sitting at home having a cold beer and grilling, where a guy should be on the weekend. Not out in a truck eating crappy truckstop food... Trying to stay cool too, it is really hot here. As for me I am off to Reading Pa for Monday morning then reload and goto Buffalo, NY. After that reload to Allentown, then a beer load back to a place about 5 miles from my house... It is a tough life but someone has to do it!!!

Home for four days of R&R, had a really good week and I keep pinching myself to make sure I not
Dreaming. I know this dosent happen every week , but it was nice .
Good luck to those drivers that have left, I do believe there are more x roehl drivers on this thread than
Actual roehl drivers LOLS ! Gonna stay where I'm at till that special local trucking job turns up.
In our local small town paper is loaded with trucking jobs, and roehl has the biggest ad.
Its amazing to me, with four schools running 24/7 and they can't keep up with the hole in
The bottom of the bucket. People are desparate for jobs and try trucking. Some stay and make it work,
But most leave or get in over heads and have to leave. Stay safe all !
Sorry for the sentence structure, it doesent look like that on my phone!

DrtyDiesel and skyviper73 Thank this. -
Got one of the loads that was sitting at HON and am heading on a nice slow trip to Glasgow, KY. I deliver Monday morning to a High School. I'm not thinking they have a dock. I might be wrong, but I have a feeling I'm going to be helping unload this trailer. I did a load from HON once to Orlando and I had to slide the boxes to the rear of the trailer for the unload. This might be the same thing. They floor load it on sand so the boxes slide pretty easily.

I'm struggling to stay a wake just sitting at home. Makes me realize what you guys and gals have to struggle with every night/day of the week. Thank you for all you do, and how you chose to do it safely!
childerscarl1, Treefork, Cheryl and 2 others Thank this. -
Sitting at home drinking a little strawberry wine. Hoping to start Monday depending on how long the drug test results take. They said 2-3 business days and I took it Thursday night, so may be Tues or Wednesday before I can start. Looking forward to it. I took the last few days to dive right back into my only real hobby, fishkeeping! I am setting up a 55g and 29g tank. Right back into it.
