The speed was not the unsafe move. It was being in the left lane first, and then crossing all lanes at once that was unsafe.

Glad you had enough room to stop, as we all see this type of move by drivers everyday, by truckers and cars

And I would bet he was using a phone or reading a map

    TRKRSHONEY and DanS Thank this.

It really isn't about fast and slow. It's about having the ability ( and training) to see down the road and adjust what you're doing to what you're seeing. Sometimes, heck most times ( as I experience it) it's a matter of not letting your ego drive the truck.

I was tailed gated in my own personal car by some dumb ### driving a brand new spanking Tandem International milk truck and the only seen in my rear view was the grill of the truck. I had to go threw threw red light because I knew Dam well that person driving would never be able to stop if fully loaded and the only seen in my rear view was the International Sign on the grill of the truck. He went 6 feet past the line to stop. I got threw the light ok(thank god), but I got ever green light after that and then he past me a mile down the road. He was driving the Tandem like a ###### Sport car, People like that should never have a driver Licences at all for any thing and give trucks a really bad name. Some day that driver is going to kill someone and hopefully will be plastered all over the news.

REALLY? You was there? and seen I was following to close? Obviously I wasnt following to close I didnt rear end anyone or did my trailer tires lock up or I would have 8 tires with flat spots on them... SO from going 70 to 0 In a mater of seconds and not hitting the car in front of me and not locking up the trailer tires I must have been at the right (following distance driving my safe posted speed of 70mph).... Im shocked with all of your knowledge and psychic powers to know I was following close.....You couldnt figure out that I wasnt... the give away was I didnt hit anyone...

So before you judge someone as driving unsafe or being hypocritical get all the facts ...

hahahahahaha I just noticed you have only been driving 0-1 yrs and you no it all... you have alot to learn pumpkin

I was just stating a fact. YOU said that you almost rear ended the car in front of you... I didn't say that, YOU did. The only time you'd rear end anyone is when you're driving too close and/or too fast. Maybe give yourself another truck length next time and you'll be gravy. Good luck out there super trucker!! :biggrin_25517:

We all gotta start somewhere, right? Yea, I made the mistake of going with SWIFT... And I have less than a year under my belt, but wasn't there a day when you had no experience as well?
