I'd like to know what frequency most Canadian drivers use. I know it's channel 19 on the CB for USA but I'm not sure about Canada, 1? 2?
-
They love vhf frequencys up in canada.
-
Most of the truckers i know run on 14.302.5 on 20
-
And what does that mean? What are vhf frequencies? As in, what channel on the CB is it?
-
CB is in the 11 Meter band in the 28 MHZ range or HF (High Frequency) VHF (Very High Frequency) Would probably be the 2 Meter Band 144 to 148 MHZ. I doubt that Canadian truckers use the two meter band there, They use CB as well, just not 19. -
I KNOW they don't use 19. That's why I'm asking what channel do most Canadians use?
-
CB is in the 26-27 mhz band. 28mhz is in the 10m amateur radio band in the US and Canada.
Also some truckers may hang out on 14.275 but most hang on 14.302.5 mhz. There is no real set frequency on 40m. A lot of us hang out on the ECARS net . Google it for the frequency -
seems like an appropriate thread to ask this in.... where do people normally hang out on side band? i very rarly find anyone on side band, and yeah... well my radios got 120 extra channels... none of which i ever use..... its all with in the 26 to 27 m range
